UK: Eccentric Irish artist TigerTom committed sacrilege while
making the DVD Part of it was shot in a snow-covered 'garden' beside a church in Stratford, East London. The artist was dressed like an extra from an Irish
version of 'The Matrix'; black overcoat, shillelagh, and sunglasses. He later had a 'Homer Simpson moment' when he realised he'd been dancing in a graveyard. So far no major ill effects have been reported, 'though he did injure his knee as a result of excessive dancing. The artist commented: "I was in my bed that night, just about to drop off to sleep, when I realised I'd been dancing on holy ground. It was totally covered in snow. I didn't realise. Why do these things always happen to me?!" Made redundant from a mind-numbing clerical job in 2002, TigerTom decided to record a dance music album in his sitting room. Then to make a DVD to go with it, using bootleg software and second-hand computer parts. Total cost: £900. He said: "Music and film-making are now open to anybody. You can make a professional-quality album for under a grand, and broadcast-quality video for under five. It's a great time to be an artist!" About TigerTom: Raised on a farm in Ireland, and schooled by the Patrician Brothers, TigerTom got a degree in Philosophy and Sociology in Cork the late 80's. Left Ireland following unfounded accusations of Satanic homosexuality. He spent some time on the squat party scene in London in the early 90's. Became obsessed by the internet in the mid 90's. Lived in front of a PC for seven years. Set up one of the internet's most popular chat rooms, then began a web design business from his flat in East London. Currently practising Christian mysticism, ecommerce web design and good housekeeping. The TigerTom DVD is available to buy from http://TigerTom.Com, price $15.00 USD (incl. $5.00 P&P).
